I need help with some casual restaurants in the DC area,?

We are staying at the Hyatt in Downtown DC area. Dont want fast food, yet don't mind some chain restaurants. Will be there for 4 days, so will even like a couple nice sit down for this downtown area.I need help with some casual restaurants in the DC area,?
The Grand Hyatt is near a lot of casual and fancy restaurants. One of my favorites is Capitol City Brewing Company which is on 11th and K or thereabouts, so just a block or two from your hotel; they serve burgers, steaks, salads, etc; call it "upscale pub fare", and the beers are reasonably priced.

There is a sports bar in the hotel as well.

A little more upscale (but definitely not "super fancy") is a raw bar called Regatta, it's about a block away from the hotel and has a very nice lunch buffet.

You will also be 3-4 blocks from DC's Chinatown area which unfortunately does not have a lot of Chinese restaurants but there are a few still left, all are good, and most are cheap. You will also find a Gordon Biersch, Legal Seafoods and other chain restaurants in this neighborhood. If you want something more unique, walk over to 7th and G (or thereabouts) and try Jaleo which is a fantastic tapas restaurant (tapas, not topless!!!).

For quick and casual lunch or early dinner, there is a Cosi on 12th and K (about 4 blocks from your hotel) which gets packed during lunch hour but if you go early or later in the afternoon it's nice and quiet, and a sandwich or salad and drink will only set you back about $9. There is also a Chinese buffet the next block over (13th and K) for breakfasts and lunch. They charge by the pound so watch out that you don't overload your plate!

And for a more upscale treat, Georgia Brown's on 16th and K has some very creative, delicious American Southern cuisine. There's also District Chophouse on 7th Street for an upscale Steak dinner but make sure to get reservations at either of those two as they are very busy all the time!

Your hotel concierge should be able to give you exact addresses!I need help with some casual restaurants in the DC area,?
The "Hyatt in Downtown DC area" is not specific enough since there is a Grand Hyatt and a Hyatt Regency both in downtown DC. They are both in different neighborhoods and the recommendations would be different depending on which hotel you are at.

Less expensive and casual:

Capital City Brewing Company - pub food

Matchbox - pizza

Nando's peri-peri - spicy grilled chicken

Vapiano's - pizza and pasta

Five Guys - burgers

Teaism - Asian style light fare

Nicer, more expensive -

Jaleo - Spanish tapas

Oyamel - Oaxacan style small plates

Raskia - Indian

Old Ebbitt's - American

Potenza - Italian

Even nicer and more expensive -

Cafe Atlantico

TenPenh

Central
