Any suggestions for funky, ethnic, not overly expensive restaurants in DC that are Metro accessible?

Next week is my birthday, and I'm trying to pick a place for my birthday dinner. Thanks! :)Any suggestions for funky, ethnic, not overly expensive restaurants in DC that are Metro accessible?
The Grill From Ipanema (Brazilian) http://www.thegrillfromipanema.com/

Utopia (Very artsy, mix of food, lots of seafood dishes, Moroccan, Cajun/Creole, Very NYC - lol) http://www.utopiaindc.com/restaurant.asp

Merkado Kitchen (Latin American) http://www.merkadodc.com

I don't know about "funky" but if you're into Greek food and a warm experience, light and fun as well as inexpensive, try Zorbas: http://www.zorbascafe.com/New_Site/About鈥?/a>

And of course... the old standby, always a winner with me, Madame's Organ in Adam's Morgan - Blues and soul food... delightful http://www.madamsorgan.com

Have a great birthday!
Go to Mark's Kitchen located on Carroll Avenue......its right by Takoma Metro Station.Any suggestions for funky, ethnic, not overly expensive restaurants in DC that are Metro accessible?
Lebanese Taverna is right across Connecticut Ave. from the Adams Morgan-Woodley metro. This short block of Connecticut Ave. also has two Indian restaurants, a French Bistro place and a good sushi place. You are also only a short walk from Adams Morgan, where you will find Mama Ayeshas (also Lebanese) on Calvert. On 18th St., there's a great Ethiopian restaurant called Fasika's (2447 18th street) and many other places.
Check out the website below for ur needful restaurant.
I recommend Etete, a great, cheap and chic Ethiopian place. Its kind of small, so go there 20-30 minutes ahead of your appointment to ensure that you are seated. It is in the U Steet area, so it is metro accessible.
