What restaurants in DC serve insects?

I was looking to add insects to my diet...i feel the best way to do that is to have some expertly prepared so i wont be too grossed out by it. I decided i didnt want meat anymore after i learned livestock are fed feces, euthanized cats and dogs, each other, and old supermarket meat.

Insects are good for you and can be raised in ur home very cheaply. What restaurants in DC serve insects?
Most restaurants try to serve people.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

However, try Googling "dc restaurants insects" and doing some research. I took a cursory look but didn't come up with anyting promising. But that was only the first page of results. Or, perhaps, you can come up with a better search string. What restaurants in DC serve insects?
There's a nightclub in DC (or used to be... not sure it's still open) that serves several types of insects:

INSECT CLUB

625 E Street, NW

Washington, DC 20004

(202) 347-8884

They opened back in 1992... not certain they're still there... but you can read about them here and give a call: http://www.food-insects.com/Vol6%20no2.h鈥?/a>

Actually... a bit of research makes it appear that this address is now the home of Numark Gallery, so guess DC lost their desire for bugs. Smithsonian Museum of Natural History used to do "BugFest" once a year... and there was tasting involved... but I haven't heard of one for a couple of years so they may have stopped that as well.

You can have plenty of non-meat protein in your diet without resorting to insects, by the way...
