1st anniversary is coming Monday, any tips on a nice romantic restaurant for dinner? Live in Washington DC?

She likes Thai, i like Jamaican , african , spicy but we are not picky as long as it is tasty and have ecclectic tastes. What place is romantic and will provide the right setting for our anniversary without breaking the bank1st anniversary is coming Monday, any tips on a nice romantic restaurant for dinner? Live in Washington DC?
Marrakesh: http://www.marrakesh.us/ They treat you like royalty and who's not going to enjoy a bit of bellydancing?

Neyla: http://www.neyla.com/ They do a Lebanese Tasting (Ideal sampling for Two) withTastings of Hommus, Baba Ghannoug, Kabis, Tabbouleh, Grape Leaves, Cheese Rolls, Fried Kibbeh and Chicken Shawarma for 30.00 They also have special mezza for Happy Hour: http://www.neyla.com/dir/about/events_de鈥?/a>

Rasika: http://www.rasikarestaurant.com/rasika.h鈥?/a> (But I think you'll find them to be a bit on the expensive side...)

Palena: Main dining room has two courses plus dessert for $58. The cafe is more casual but far less expensive: http://www.palenarestaurant.com/

Two Quail: http://www.twoquail.com/ (They are one of the most romantic restaurants in the region, have an Early Bird Special for $25 as long as you order before 6:30p.m. http://www.twoquail.com/earlybird.html and you can do a romantic horse drawn carriage ride through historic Capitol Hill after dinner: http://www.twoquail.com/carriagerides.ht鈥?/a> I recommend the gazpacho, anything the chef is doing special any night of the week and the jerk pork loin if you like spices...

Zaytinya: http://www.zaytinya.com/ (Another small plate place, so you order a large variety and share it all... easy to control your spending! Beautiful food, eastern and mediterranean...

Etete: http://www.eteterestaurant.com/ Ethiopian... very authentic... true original soul food brought upscale to a new level... my favorite dishes are zilzil tibs, Yefem tibs (an Etete's Special) and the pasta with tuna believe it or not - lol The gomen basega is beef with onion, garlic and collards and it's to die for... It's not the most romantic of the ones I've listed, but it's different, you'd love the food and it wouldn't break the bank at all.

Have a great evening, no matter what you choose!
Mai Thai (Thai, obviously) on Dupont Circle (there's another location in Old Town).

Matchbox ("American," wood-fired pizza and pastas) in Chinatown - my personal fave, it has a very intimate, "date night" atmosphere.

Tandoori Nights (Indian) in Clarendon.

Sequoia (seafood) in Georgetown.

Sette Osteria (Italian) in Dupont Circle.1st anniversary is coming Monday, any tips on a nice romantic restaurant for dinner? Live in Washington DC?
Red Robin.
Rasika - it's kind of high-end Indian. Don't know if it's a little expensive for what you want, but the food is delicious and interesting, and the decor is fairly romantic.

For Thai restaurants, there aren't many good Thai restaurants in DC and none of them are particularly romantic, but I think Regent Thai (around 18th and T) is pretty good and the atmosphere's definitely more romantic than most Thai places, plus the prices are very reasonable.
1-fart on the restaurant seat a lot,it will refreshen the smell.

3-say hello to stupidness

4-you will find out that you're the fatso of America
