Try the Poste Moderne Brasserie, it is an upscale contemporary brasserie located in downtown Washington DC, features modern American cuisine emphasizing fresh, local ingredients. A bustling 176鈥搒eat restaurant, bar and outside courtyard, Poste is accessed through a historic carriageway portal and makes its home in the original sorting room of the 1841 General Post Office. The 16鈥揻oot cast-iron ceilings and skylights from the original post office have been fully restored and overlook the inviting dining room of raised platforms, plush booths and original paintings by American artists.
