What are some great family restaurants in downtown Washington DC?

We are going on a family trip late this summer and we'd like to know of a few good places to eat, especially around the National Mall. What are some great family restaurants in downtown Washington DC?
I second Old Ebbitt and thought I'd mention that there's also a Matchbox pizza in Chinatown which is closer to the National Mall than Eastern Market.

Other places I'd recommend for a sit down meal are Jaleo, Capital City Brewing Company, Austin Grille and Potenza. There are food courts at the Reagan Building and at Union Station if you want a fast food type lunch or the Juice Joint near the White House if you want a healthier lunch option.
Go eat at Old Ebbitt Grill. It is right across from the Treasury Building. Plenty of dignitaries eat here, the food is excellent, and the price is fairly affordable. Just make sure you call to reserve a table, or be prepared to wait. We make sure to go here every time we visit DC.

And if you want to get off the beaten path a little, there is a wonderful place on 8th Street (Eastern Market - also called Barracks Row). The restaurant is called Matchbox Pizza. Their wood-burned pizza's are amazing, as well as their drinks and appetizers. What are some great family restaurants in downtown Washington DC?
Buca di Beppo, an Italian restaurant in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. It's a like a huge, cozy maze, with Italian and Italian-American crap all over the walls, the floors, and the ceilings. And the food is delicious, and the portions are HUGE. The restaurant is like a maze, so at first you will probably get lost walking around looking at all the cool stuff.
Primo Family Restaurant in Alexandria or at the Ronald Reagan Buildng which has a food court.
