What is a nice restaurant to go in Washington DC?

Something on the metro line, nice and low key

but were both in college........What is a nice restaurant to go in Washington DC?
Ici Urban Bistro on 15th Street, new

Chix on 11th, great for small budget, tasty food

Jefferson Room at Jefferson Hotel, 16th Street, good breakfast

Bistro Francais, M Street, expensive but good
It really depends on what sort of food you're looking for.

If you like Indian food, check out Nirvana on K Street near 18th. They're near Farragut North on the Red Line and Farragut West on the Blue and Orange lines. The food is affordable and filling (and a bit spicy).

One of my favorite places in the 'burbs is Vegetable Garden, a nice Asian vegetarian place in a little strip mall across from the White Flint Metro (Red Line).

There's a chain called Hard Times Cafe which has really good chili (I love the veggie chili). They have a location not far from King Street (Blue and Yellow lines) in Alexandria, a location across from the Clarendon Metro (Orange Line) in Arlington, and I think they have a location in Bethesda, but it's not very close to the Metro station. They're very casual dining. What is a nice restaurant to go in Washington DC?
Some good restaurants in DC are "The Capital Grille"

"The Two Quail Restaurant"

"Fogo de Chao"

American Bounty, 430 Front Street. Can't find a website. And it ain't a restaurant, but you'll find some nifty sausage at Williams Brothers Meat/Washington Sausage Co.,

607 West Fifth Street.

that resto is great...

but its your choice...

try to search i dont want to be there.. ^^,
hop on the yellow line, and go to crystal city. There are a variety of places to eat out at different prices.
-Clydes in Gallery Place is nice

-Old Ebbit

-Tapas in Chinatown
M%26amp;S grill
Chinese: Try Meiwahs (301-652-9882). It is by far the best Chinese. They also serve fantastic sushi. Two locations, both on the Red Line of the metro rail. In Chevy Chase get off at Friendship Heights. In Washington take it to Dupont Circle. I prefer Chevy Chase as the new Wisconsin Ave is a small replica of Rodeo Drive and the Mazza Gallery has a great theatre that serves drinks.

Steak: The absolute best would be The Prime Rib (202-466-8811). Once you have theirs, prime rib will never taste good anywhere else. It's a jacket and tie place but so worth it. On the Red Line, get off at Farragut North.

Seafood: Nothing compares to The Oceanaire Seafood Room (202-347-2277). If you love raw oysters, their sampler from around the world is truly a memorable experience. On the Red Line, get off at Metro Center.

For something a little cozy, take the Blue or Yellow line to Pentagon City (not the Pentagon) and visit the Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton (703-415-5000). Grab the loveseat by the fireplace for drinks. Then head next door to Pentagon Row for at least a dozen choices in restaurants. If you like Vietnamese, Saigon Saigon (701-412-0822) has a wonderful grilled dish served on a boat.

If you're feeling adventurous, take the Red Line to Bethesda and walk down Restaurant Row (Bethesda Ave). With so many restaurants (of all cuisine type) and a night life so much fun you'll spend hours and hours.
Go to Cleveland Park, it is the lowest key funnest time you will have! Uptown Theater is there which is just so cool! You have your choice of dinning. My wife and friends love Spices! They are a combination Sushi / Thai restaurant best deal going for Sushi in the district and if you go between 5-7 Sun-Thur half off all alcohol so we usually get a bottle of wine while we are there.

There are many more, on the West side of Connecticut as you get off the Metro in CP there is Indique which is a great Indian Curry house that does fabulous meals reasonably priced. There is also CP bar and grill and a Tapas bar on the East side of Conn next to Dino's, it is atrium looking place, looks good but we have not been there yet.
On the metro, in DC, nice and low key...you did not mention price (college student) or cuisine...recommend check out this link:

Though I don't always agree with them, they are usually spot on. Search their top 100 or best "cheap eats". If you expand your search to NVA you will significantly improve your options..lots of ethnic funky (and good) places ivo clarendon metro. Enjoy.
