ADDENDUM: LiLi's answer is another good dining option "near Constitution Avenue" ... Constitution Avenue runs pretty much the width of the District from the Potomac River across Capitol Hill to RFK Stadium. Is there a particular neighborhood or location where you are looking for suggestions?

My fave restaurant is a FABULOUS Indian restaurant on Capitol Hill called The White Tiger. It is a great atmosphere for any age! The best food I have EVER tadted. Give it a go!
