Just follow the Republican mob. They can be seen going through the trash looking for receipts. I'm being completely serious.
He visited a Ray's Hell Burger in Arlington and a Five Guys (burgers) location in DC. I think he's also been to Ben's Chili Bowl, which has been around for 50 years and is a Washington institution.Which Restaurants has President Obama visited in Washington DC?
Probably the most expensive places around since it is on our nickel.

Plus, why go out he has the most expensive chef's preparing his food at the white house--again on our nickel!
Despite what "Redhead" said, when the President goes out to eat, he pays for the meals--the tab is NOT picked up out of tax dollars. ALL Presidents go out to eat on occasion. The first President Bush was fond of a Chinese restaurant near Falls Church. President Clinton was fond of fast food.

George W. Bush didn't go out that much, but his daughters did--seemingly all the time during the first years of his presidency.

You can argue that the taxpayers pick up the tab for Secret Service protection, but that again goes for all presidents, and is independent of whether he's going to a meeting, to make a speech, or having dinner out with his family.

As for President Obama, as has been pointed out above, he is fond of burgers, hot dogs, and chili, although when he's with his wife he does go to fancier places. When he went to Ray's Burgers in Arlington, he personally paid for his entire party, including, I believe, the reporters typically at his side.

As for the White House cooking, the taxpayers do pick up the cost of the chef(s) (which are at Civil Service pay scales, not the very high salaries that top chefs typically receive), but the President pays for the food used for family meals. The taxpayers pick up for official meals at the White House, such as a reception for the British Prime Minister.
