Right across the street from the King Street metro is Joe Theismann's. Good food, huge portions, and reasonable prices
Shelly's Back Room. I've been there serveral times in the past 10 years. Good food and cigars + HDTV. Close to transportation. What are some good restaurants for lunch and dinner in Washington DC area, accessible by metro?
For lunch it's fun just to try the local deli's %26amp; pubs. For dinner

Old Ebbit's Grill is the best restaraunt in D.C. incredible menu, incredible chefs, great atmosphere. A MUST!!

Anna Maria's on Dupont Cir. is another good choice, JFK's favorate place to eat! authentic itallian food, good prices. check out the wall of fame which includes several presidents plus tons of celebs.

Also go to Georgetown just across the river for many others. Houstons is a great choice there. Plus lots of cool shops %26amp; fun to walk around. (Don't miss the stairs %26amp; house where they filmed The Exorcist, creepy!!)
Head to Sequoia for a fancy occasion- I am a DC native and it never ceases to please me. For GREAT pizza go to 2 Amys. It's always very crowded but it's worth it! I mean it. And if the crowd is too crazy you can always head across the street to a Sushi Bar that is also very decent. Zaytinya has great Greek food, as does Levante's in Bethesda. Jaleo is good for Spanish food; there are two locations, Bethesda and DC, the better of which is the DC one. And finally, for Japanese try Saki (it's also a club) or Sushi-Ko.

Hope this helps!
There are a ton of good restaurants in dc. There is a really good spanish tapas bar at gallery place metro, also near their are rosa mexicana, district chophouse, drinks, legal seafood, to name a few. Also metro center station isn't too far and has good restaurants such as old ebbitt grill, oceanaire, chef geoffs, m%26amp;s grill, butterfield 9, 15 squares. Also try the georgetown area, walking distance from foggy bottom and accessible by metro bus, there's shopping and good restaurants such as mienyu, clydes, dean %26amp;deluca, unos or try the Dupont circle and woodley park zoo areas. Most business or tourist areas in dc have a ton of restaurants. You can also check with the concierge at your hotel for suggestions.
