Dupont Circle Washington DC what is fun to do there?

I am visiting DC in early August and our hotel is in Dupont Circle. What are the best restaurants/bars, shopping etc. ? I don't want to do touristy things. ThanksDupont Circle Washington DC what is fun to do there?
There's tons of stuff in that area.Since you're close to Georgetown just go to Wisconsin Ave.There's every store you could ask for.You'll see a lot of local stores too with stuff you can't get anywhere else.Try M street.I don't know the bars exactly but I would just say explore the area because you're bound to see something you like.My highschool is just a few blocks away and I walk down Wisconsin everyday.I see stuff in shop windows all the time and I'm like wow.So yeah just take a day and look around.Hope I helped.Dupont Circle Washington DC what is fun to do there?
In Dupont there is lots to do. If you get bored with that, go down Connecticut Ave South towards Down Town/White House area, and you will find more spots.



Plenty of ethnic foods. You are at the begining of the embassy row on Mass. Ave. ( if you are into Beer best in the area is Brickskeller)



Shopping, look at the shops on Connecticut. There are larger stores closer down town.



Also keep in mind that Dupont is considered as a homosexual friendly area (hot spot/ hangout). Be mindfull of the "perception" but have fun at the same time.
