I agree with Michel Richard Citronelle: http://www.citronelledc.com/ and
Restaurant Eve: http://www.restauranteve.com/. I'd have to add in there
Equinox: http://www.equinoxrestaurant.com/,
Palena (the cafe if you're on a budget!): http://www.palenarestaurant.com/ and
Farrah Olivia: http://www.farraholiviarestaurant.com/ct鈥?/a>
My personal favorite for Italian is Filomena: http://www.filomenadc.com/ although
Maestro is higher rated: http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties鈥?/a> (Maestro is also in Tysons, not quite DC and is currently without a chef de cuisine so they're closed - except for a holiday buffet - until Jan 08)
I always troll the Adams-Morgan area for new restaurants. I haven't been in that area in awhile, but there was a wonderful Creole and Ethiopian restaurant off of Connecticut; turn left onto Calvert and make a right at the next full street. Calvert St. is right before the bridge that crosses Rock Creek park.
Happy looking and tasting! What are the best restaurants in Washington DC?
go to washingtonian.com
ok well i went to Washington DC for an eighth grade trip a couple of years ago and just last year i went with my family. But anyways i would say go to the Hard Rock Cafe because they have really great food there, and a gift shop.
not sure what type of "Restaurants" you are looking for, however here are 3 that I really love.
1. Fogo De Chao:11th %26amp; Pennsylvania $5 valet parking
Brazilian Churrascaria (in english is means house of meat). $50 per person, all you an eat (but not the usual American crap), anyway...fabulous salad bar, but you're not there for that. 14 different cuts of meat brought around by Gaucho's (Brazilian Cowboys), not stop, until you flip the green/red disk to red. Ask for the Picanye first cut.
2. Cashion's: Columbia Rd, Adams Morgan: Street parking, or parking garage on 18th st.
American cuisine by Chef Anne Cashion: ~$25 per plate. Menu is always different depending on what is freshly available and in season. Absolutely love this place.
3.Jaleo's: DC and Metro Area
Spanish Tapas style food, which is appetizer size portions, each person should order a 2-3 and then everyone shares from the multiple plates on offer....very cool for a group of friends/family (not so much for business), very good Sangria
Hope this helps
Central Michael Richard in Pennsylvania. Its a Casual to fine dinning place. Offers different variety foods from America, French to Japanese cuisine. There are plenty of entr茅e to choose from.
