Hey, I would check out this list of the most romantic restaurants in the DC area picked by Open Table's users. http://www.dguides.com/washingtondc/rest鈥?/a>
I've actually been to the The Melting Pot before (which is in Dupont Circle, and on this list!) and it's fantastic. I would definitely check that out.
Good luck!!

It's a little pricy, but I would highly recommend Filomena's Italian Restauraunt in Georgetown. It is soooo good.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
The Mayflower motel is nearby it a very exclusive hotel so the restaurantsinside would be high tone. For more casual dining take the Metro to Foggy bottom and explore Georgetown.
