What is the best restaurant in washington, dc?

that wow chic has it all wrong, the kitchen in the white house (at least the one that is a restaurant) is awful... the white house mess as they call it was cool for the fact of being in the white house eating but that was it... (navy run restaurant in the lower levels of the white house)

if you like Thai food there is this great lil place off of wisconsin ave and m i think, very yummy large amounts and reasonable prices..

other wise look at the washintonian magazine or web site the section on cheap eats has a ton of great inputWhat is the best restaurant in washington, dc?
I have to pick one!?? There are so many good restaurants in DC but my top pick would be...Maggiano's Little Italy (ok I know its in Chevy Chase but close enough!)
cities, in Dupont Circle; if it still exists...i haven't been to DC in yearsWhat is the best restaurant in washington, dc?
Capital Grill is a wonderful POWERFUL place to eat, see Senators and Administration big wigs. Very masculine steak house. Wonderful service and excellent food. Fine wine list.
Most definitely Filomena Ristorante, I learned that it was Clinton's favorite and visited it out of curiosity, right away you can see why he likes it. The food is excellent and the ambiance is unique. Right on the Canal in Georgetown. Wisconsin Ave.
The kitchen in the White House?
Ristorante i Ricchi is in my opinion the best place in DC with the Red Sage a very, very close second.
