What is a nice romantic restaurant in washington DC?

Looking for a restaurant in downtown washington DC that is sort of romantic, that doesnt cost an arm and a leg to take my wife. What is a nice romantic restaurant in washington DC?
I enjoyed both places. Enjoy!!!

-Two Quail 320 Massachusetts Ave. NE, Washington, DC. (202) 543-8030 American restaurant in three Victorian Capitol Hill rowhouses. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride

-Little Fountain Cafe, 2339 18th St. NW, Washington, DC (202) 462-8100 Quaint European styled restaurant located in the basement of an Adams Morgan townhouse

Melting Pot is nice and melow...
Two Quail has closed.

If you are open to Asian cuisine, we've enjoyed Royal Thai (507 H Street NW) and the upstairs dining area at Momiji Sushi and Japanese, next door at 505 H Street NW.
Equinox is really nice and they have a killer watermelon martini...it's spendy though. Rosa Mexicana in Chinatown is good if you like Mexican food. Peacock Cafe in Georgetown is another good one...cool atmosphere and I don't remember it being super expensive.
Finemundos. It is the the museum of women in the arts and is lovely lovely lovely
Top of the Washington Hotel used to be nice, romantic, great View and sort of reasonable. But it is now the W or something and is horrible, $15. for a drink and the food was just as bad (both taste and price) so cross off your list.
